Happy New Year, Fellow Adventurers! The Adventure family had a delightful winter break that included visits from the extended Adventure family, lots of sweets, and an adventure to the Poinsettia Show at Rawlings Conservatory, which had a Chronicles of Narnia theme!
If you’re anything like me, you’ve been starting to think about the adventures your family will have in the new year. When we moved here, I started a personal Pinterest board of things to do in Maryland that quickly grew to over 250 pins!
Recently, I took a look at that board and thought, “Wow, our family hasn’t even scratched the surface of all the things to do around here!” I quickly saw that there was no way we would be able to do all these things if I didn’t organize them a little better, so I started reorganizing them into categories on our Anne Arundel Adventures Pinterest boards. Be sure to check them out!
I don’t know about you, but when we have a rare free day, I will forget about that giant Pinterest board, and the Little Adventurers and I will just hang around the house. While a day at home can be wonderful, I thought it would help me to get us out and take advantage of all the wonderful things our state has to offer if I created a Maryland Bucket List. I’m really excited to be able to do some of these things in the new year!
The Adventure Family’s Maryland Bucket List:
- Glen Echo Park
- Madonnari Arts Festival
- A day trip to Washington DC
- Ladew Topiary Gardens
- Robinson Nature Center
- Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park
- Baltimore Book Festival
- Historic London Town
- A tour of the Naval Academy
- Calvert Marine Museum
- The American Visionary Art Musuem
In addition to thinking about what kinds of things I’d like to do with the Little Adventurers, I have also started thinking about what I’d like to do with the blog this year. I’d like to bring you more Mom Adventures, including things to do and more book reviews, and expand my Adventure Advice section. If there’s something you’d like to see more of on the blog, let me know in the comments!
What would you add to my Maryland bucket list?
